Groovin'

Seemingly Effortless Moves - March 2010

As it turns out, I'm human.

As such a critter, I do indeed have constraints and limitations.

From time to time I bite off more than I can (safely) chew. Recent weeks have proven to be one such time. The ambitious schedule I had planned for this 'finally final semester' in which I evnisioned myself hopscotching between coursework, work-work, and thesis-work while physically bopping from New Haven to Borneo to Chicago to China to Graduation got tripped up when it hit this thing called 'reality.'

There wasn't a crisis, so to speak. Just an opportunity for clarity and an 'A-Ha! Moment' in which the words and melodies of Simon and Garfunkel could be heard all the way from the 59th Street Bridge: "Slow Down, You Move to Fast . . ."

Shifting gears a bit, I've decided to postpone completion of my thesis/writing project into June. While it technically means missing out on a May 2011 Graduation, in the grand scheme of things this is the better option. It allows room for breathing and for be-ing; for kickin' down the cobblestones and considering the flowers that are growin'.

With this minor move, all is groovy.
